Paracord projects are always incredibly helpful when it comes to survival. Paracord are so strong it can withhold up to 550 pounds.  It is always a good idea to carry some in your bag. Turn it into bracelets, belts, and many other useful items.

Here’s another project you should absolutely consider as part of your gear – the monkey fist knot!

The knot is so thick that you can even use it in self-defense.  Then, when you’re in need of paracord, untie the knot and voila – a full-length paracord at your disposal.

It takes some practice to get used to tying the monkey fist knot, but with time you’ll totally get the hang of it. Practice makes perfect.
