62 Year Old Survived 6 Days In Australian Outback With Nothing

Police tactical response trackers found 62-year-old Reg Foggerdy sitting under a tree this morning, delirious and dehydrated, 15km from where he was last seen by his brother Ray.
The pair had been on a hunting trip about 170km east of Laverton when Mr Foggerdy became separated from his brother when he went to shoot a camel.
Goldfields Police Supt Andy Greatwood said he had been sitting under the same tree for two days after becoming lost.
“He was eating black ants, that’s how he survived, so fantastic survival skills by him, and fantastic skills by our trackers who found him in an extremely remote location,” Supt Greatwood said.
“He was extremely dehydrated, a bit delusional, but we’ve administered first aid and rehydrated him and it’s pleasing to say he is now sitting up and talking.”
“It was extremely hot, extremely remote, and most people probably wouldn’t have survived.”
Mr Foggerdy was wearing shorts, a t-shirt and thongs when he went missing.
Mr Foggerdy’s sister Christine Ogden said Mr Foggerdy’s son Gavin still did not believe his father was alive.
“Gavin wants proof…I can’t get them proof, all I can is pass on what I’ve been told,” she said.
“When I went to bed last night, I said ‘tomorrow’s the day, they’re going to find him’.
“I didn’t know which way it was going to go but I just had this feeling.”
