Owning your own home is a dream for most people.  Some may never make it a reality because of the cost involved.

Well, most people grow up wanting to own their own house.  Many young couples dream about this together and often plan and discuss what their ideal home would look like, for years.

Modern building methods do have many advantages, but one thing is certain, it is not cheap.  Building a new home cost a lot of money.  Some will never even start the process whilst most people will battle to repay the mortgage for most of their life.  Only a small percentage of people won their home outright.
