It’s very challenging to start a fire when it’s rainy or humid, and on top of that you’re out of dry tinder. If it weren’t for your survival spirit you may easily despair.

Of course, your spirit can’t be crushed that easy, but you still need to start that fire. We hope you carry your knife because it will be the tool you’ll need to make your own dry tinder – feather sticks.

It takes a bit of preparation and searching around, but once you get the idea, you’ll have a warm fireplace in no time.

Also, make sure you have a firestarter kit or other similar item, since it may be quite tough to light that fire. But again, if you’re out there on your own and you know what you’re doing, the feather sticks method will be only a supplementary knowledge for you.
