After a successful hunt what can be more rewarding than to butcher your kill and to cut the deer up in different pieces. There are a lot of hunters that would leave this task to a professional butcher but there is no reason not to learn the skill yourself.
At first the butchering can be daunting but after a few times it will get easier. It is important to know that after killing a deer the animal has to be field dressed as soon as possible. At temperatures above 45 degrees Fahrenheit the meat will spoil quickly therefor the importance to remove the entrails as soon as possible.
