Video – Learn How To Make A Swedish Fire Torch

Need A Fire That Can Burn All Night Long?
Winter is around the corner and what a perfect time to learn how to make a Swedish Fire Torch, also known as a Canadian Candle.
The Swedish Fire Torch is an ideal way of making a fire in winter, especially when out on a camping trip. The great benefit of this method is that a single log of wood is used. Once lit it creates a long-lasting fire and it does not need any feeding of kindling and will provide plenty of heat and light. The best wood to use for cooking is Beech, Apple, Cherry or Oak since they do not give off any soot or a smoky taste. The flat circular top makes an excellent “outdoor stove” and within an hour or so a kettle or skillet can be used to cook food.
If you only want to relax around the fire use wood like Pine, Fir or Birch, these wood types will give off a nice scent and will provide great light.
